The Canadian ambassador to Ireland has claimed his home is haunted. Writing on Facebook, Kevin Vickers said he never believed in ghosts,“until I arrived here.” His home is the official residence of the Canadian Ambassador to Ireland.
“I was sitting watching TV when all of a sudden I heard a heavy chain fall on the floor in the dining room,” he wrote.
“I immediately went there and there was nothing on the floor,” said Mr Vickers.
Other incidents include heavy labored breathing. “A couple of weeks ago laying in my bed, I heard heavy footsteps coming up the stairs. And I could hear laboured breathing. I immediately went out to the hallway and nothing was there,”

The residence, ‘Glanmire’, located on Ranelagh Road in Dublin was once home to Padraig Pearse, one of the leaders of the 1916 Rising in Dublin which paved the way for eventual Irish freedom.
“I wonder if it is he [Pearse] who walks the hallways of this residence,” wrote Mr Vickers on Facebook. A staff member reportedly refuses to go upstairs in the property.
